independent Acumatica Consultant

Independent Acumatica consultant or VAR? Usually both.

Your VAR sells, hosts and configures. We sit on your side of the table. Here is where each one fits.

What your VAR is for

The license. The hosting or publishing. Configuration to the scope you signed. Support tickets. That is a real job and a good VAR does it well.

What a VAR is not paid to do

Tell you not to buy something. Own your roadmap. Question whether the next project is the right one. Test your business processes before an upgrade. Manage your other vendors. None of that is a criticism. It is simply not what the contract pays for.

What independence changes

We talked a client out of a hardware purchase by proving scanning on devices they already owned.
  1. We advised a client to remove a licensed module they did not need.
  2. We endorsed another firm's quote for a build instead of competing for it.
  3. We rejected a software platform after its vendor confirmed it lacked the workflow the client needed. A scorecard, and no commission either way.
  4. We argued ourselves out of a bigger project, because the small fixes made most of it unnecessary.

We have been where you are

Solidus was built from the customer side: 10+ years inside companies running Acumatica. We have been the person trying to get a partner to finish. We know the difference between "on schedule" and "on track," and we will tell you which one you have.

How we work with your VAR

Beside them. We write the requirement, prove it in the sandbox and hold your position. The VAR publishes and hosts. Most VARs prefer a client who knows what they want.

When you do not need us

If your VAR relationship is working and someone inside your company owns the system, keep going.
