Historical AP with source documents
Several thousand historical bills loaded with every source document that exists attached by automation. Zero errors and zero ambiguous matches on the latest pass. Bills with generic references were held out by design, because a wrong match is worse than none. An auditor can open it bill by bill.
Cutover pre-flight
Migrated bills carry balances and look open. We tie each to the legacy payment record and take cutover open AP from the legacy outstanding list, never from the migrated set. The feared double-post on switching off migration mode was tested: the system refuses it.
Legacy subledger reconciliation
Reconcile by period, find the gap, load project-only transactions with no GL effect
